The Grand Kyiv Ballet performed a sold-out showing of Swan Lake in Dorset Friday night, with a portion of ticket sales going toward rebuilding a Kyiv dance school damaged during Russia’s war on Ukraine.

The company has been touring the United States since the start of the war, performing classics and supporting projects at home.

Dorset resident Lisa Hadlock first saw the ballet perform in Randolph last year and worked to bring the company to southern Vermont. “When I heard there are children often living without heat, hot water, electricity, I just felt that I must help,” she said.
