Vermont Reads is an annual statewide reading initiative coordinated by Vermont Humanities. Each year, the program selects a title for the community to read and engage around—through book discussions, school curricula, community presentations, and public events.

For its 23rd year in 2025, the chosen book is The Light Pirate by Lily Brooks‑Dalto. Stay tuned for additional information on how the Dorset Players will honor this work!
