The Dorset Players’ Sixth Annual One-Act Play Festival featured performances of three plays at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 3 and again on Saturday, April 4. Each season, the One-Act Play Festival affords directors and actors an opportunity to spread their wings in a shorter format.

Making her directorial debut was Christy Vogel, who presented "Anything for You" by playwright Cathy Celesia. Set in a restaurant, the ten-minute play, which featured Anastasia Satterthwaite and Jessica Zilske, offered theatregoers a new twist on the ladies who lunch.

Veteran director Richard Maiori returned to direct "Oh, Susannah." This moving, two-person piece by playwright Janet S. Tiger, which ran just over fifteen minutes, concerned a woman who returns from her husband’s funeral to find a suitor at her doorstep. Erik Barnum portrayed the Russian suitor and Tracy Hughes played the object of his affection.

Each evening, proudly sponsored by Express Copy, concluded with a performance of "The Whole Shebang," a very funny, six-character play by playwright Rich Orloff. It was premised upon the following: what if the heavens and the universe were just some graduate student’s science project? The cast included Ron Nagle, Debbie Goldman, Dom Degnon, Molly Nawrath, Jennifer Lalli, and Ed Cobb.
